It’s the last day of August, in Italy it’s one of the hottest months but the mountain climate of Lake Como makes it bearable. The city of Como is animated by foreign tourists who lazily walk through the streets of the center, eating ice cream or drinking a spritz, an Italian aperitivo.
Justin and Stacey chose this time of the year to celebrate their destination wedding in Italy. A three-day event, which began with a welcome dinner at Villa Geno accompanied by Italian wine and aperitifs, pizza made on the spot from a track, sushi and local appetizers.
The wedding day started with the bride and groom preparations at the Hilton Hotel in Como. By the way, I found the uniform of the bride squad very nice with iridescent pink jackets with the names on the back.
The wedding ceremony was held on the breathtaking terrace down at the private little marina of Villa Geno. This is probably the most beautiful place for a wedding ceremony on Lake Como. Definitely a unique place for a wedding video for the superb scenery with the lake in the background and for the staircase from which groomsmen, bridesmaids and obviously the bride and the groom walk down the aisle.
The wedding planner Gemma of My Lake Como Wedding has been able to create a very elegant and refined design while maintaining a touch of Italian spirit.
The dinner under the stars with the speeches was animated by the music performance of a special guest, the saxophonist Kim Waters and a friend of the bride (forgive me if I could not collect his name). A great unexpected show that I could not help but record it and use it like intro to this wedding film. I have to confess, if you haven’t noticed yet … I love using live music for my intros 🙂
The event ended the next day with a brunch at Lido di Cernobbio. A relaxing day by the pool after two days of celebration. Unfortunately I did not include this part in the wedding trailer because there was already too much footage, but the newlyweds have it in their featured film.
