Wedding videography in Florence and Tuscany
Unconventional and wacky. This are the first adjectives that come to my mind to describe this couple. Emily and Charles have brought to Italy, and more precisely to Fiesole, a village on the hills just outside Florence, their sparkling love and with it, their loving families and friends. It is a sunny day of late May, too early to be called summer but too hot to be called spring again. Almost like a mirage, I can hear robins singing in the air and the song Mattinata Fiorentina by Alberto Rabagliati that says “… it’s spring, wake up girls!” (it’s springtime, wake up little girls!) which I then chose to use as intro song in the wedding film. It is well known how much I like – and what I love to include in my films – the old Italian songs of the 30’s, 40’s and 50’s. They remind me of a romantic Italian way of life that exists only in some timeless corner, like Fiesole for example.
Bride and bridesmaids preps were at the Hotel il Salviatino and the ceremony and reception took place at Villa di Maiano, a truly enchanting place, an ancient noble villa surrounded by the olive trees of Tuscany, from where you can see the city of Florence and the Brunelleschi Chapel. The elegant arrangements were curated by Francesca Iorizzo of Tuscan Wedding Events. I will never tire of saying that Italy, which of course I love because it’s my motherland, is always one of the most beautiful destination wedding in the world. For the magnificent views, for the history, for the professionalism of those who work in wedding indistry. And for the food!
