Lake Como. Italy. The last day of August. Sahar and Ali are an American couple; for them, Italy means sun, joviality, beauty and …. “dolce vita”. I must admit that when I heard this word during their speech, I jumped: “wow, we just met and I’m already that famous to name me in a speech ??!” :)). Unfortunately it was not so, but hearing that name, DOLCEVITA, so important for us – for the idea of Italy that we want to transmit – as much as it became our brand, pronounced with a magnificent American accent, made me really happy.
Sahar and Ali chose the Amarcord film package, in this way we were able to film the welcome dinner held at Villa Geno, a beautiful venue in the city of Como.
The wedding day started with bride and groom’s preparations at Villa d’Este, Cernobbio and in the afternoon the event moved to Villa Pizzo, just 5 minutes away by boat. Personally I love working at Villa Pizzo, one of the most beautiful and fascinating venues on Lake Como.
What to say, everything was perfect; the first look, the cocktail party, the dinner with the performance of the tenors during the cutting of the cake, the performance of the saxophonist and a great DJ for the occasion, a friend of the couple. Unfortunately, a bit of late summer rain did not allow the ceremony to be held out, but the ballroom was perfect anyway. As always, the fantastic work of the wedding planner Gemma – My Lake Como Wedding, as well as every professional who worked for this dream wedding, was invaluable. Last but not least, Sahar and Ali as I wrote before, come from the States, but the origins of their families are Iranian. Some of the farsi culture was brought into this marriage, like the festive and colorful group dances, and the rituals of honey, sugar and mirror during the ceremony.
A big thank you from the bottom of my heart for choosing DOLCEVITA Wedding Cinema (who else if ?!) as wedding videographer !!!
